The Lack of Certainty Causes Anxiety
The pandemic has caused many to feel overwhelmed and anxious, with the prolonged uncertainties around them. Adults need to learn to regulate their own feelings, and parents will need to help their little ones to regulate their emotions, especially when they are unable to verbalize or express them fully just yet.
Our clients have told us that their staff have reported feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, and struggle to juggle their personal and professional lives. Having boundaries blurred, experiencing increased levels of anxiety due to lack of job security, as well as concern for their loved one’s health and wellbeing has put many on edge.
As a result of this, Thriving Talents has come up with our Byte-Size Engagement Series around three major areas:
- Mental Health
- Financial Planning For The New Norm
- Parenting Programmes

Patience Chen – Licensed & Registered Counsellor
The Mental Health series will be facilitated by our Thriver, Patience Chen, a licensed and registered counsellor with Lembaga Kaunselor Malaysia (LKM).
We have designed a series of topics such as:
- Techniques for Coping with Stress and Anxiety
- Emotional Intelligence for Better Relationships
- Coping with Crisis and Grief
- Fostering Psychological Safety
Given that the economic situation has become dire and many employees are stretched in terms of their personal finances, we recognize that support is needed in the financial planning arena.

Personal Financial Management
As a result, we have designed a financial planning series to help guide and mentor employees on how to manage their risk, and plan prudently for the future. These modules are:
- Financial Goals
- Emergency Fund
- Financial Mindset During the Pandemic
- Protect, Preserve, Prevail, Prosper
- Financial Pulse During the Pandemic
This series will be facilitated by Rachel Liew, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER who is known for her engaging and interactive style of training.

With the new norms of working, also come new norms of living and parenting.
Thriving Talents is proud to partner with Focus on the Family, Malaysia to bring you three parenting programmes that will help you to grow and develop along with your child:
- Raising Resilient Children
- Parental Guidance
- Intentional Fathering
Discover how you can help your child to build mental and emotional resilience despite challenges and adversity, open up discussions with your child about sex in age-appropriate ways, and also discover the vital role of fathers in setting their children up for success.
We’re excited for this new opportunity to support our clients through these employee engagement opportunities.
